Village Green Toner Recycling Program Has Already Raised $15,000 for The TRUST

The TRUST is pleased to report that DaVita teammates, family members, patients and friends have already made recycling a fundraising success.  Empty toner and inkjet cartridges can be recycled through the IKON toner recycling program which has been underway at DaVita clinics and offices for over a year.  Participation in this program is easy and free. For every cartridge that is recycled, IKON donates $2 to The Trust.

Village Green, DaVita’s sustainability department, spearheads initiatives to reduce the company’s environmental footprint. “Recycling programs like the toner and cell phone initiatives are an important part of our commitment to both environmental sustainability and the fight against kidney disease,” said Megan Bloomer of DaVita who heads the company’s sustainability programs.  “To date, we have donated more than $15,000 to The TRUST through the toner program, but we’re actually just scratching the surface of what is possible.  The IKON toner recycling program allows DaVita to earn up to $100,000 in donations each year.”
