What We Do
Free Rapid-Screening for CKD
The Kidney TRUST’s free rapid-screening program, which has reached more than 40,000 people since the program was launched, identifies individuals who have signs of kidney impairment. We screened approximately 8,400 people in 2012 — 12% of those screened showed signs of CKD and were counseled to see their doctors.
Along with learning their screening results onsite, participants benefit from a personal education session to explain their results and any individual risk factors, receive materials that offer additional education about CKD and its prevention, and are encouraged to seek medical follow-up as appropriate.
