CKD Screening for Employees

Logo: CKD Screening for EmployeesThe Kidney TRUST has expanded the successful CKD rapid screening and education program to employer workplaces.  The low-cost kidney function assessment can be an effective element of any organizational wellness program by identifying CKD before becoming a problem.  Corporate clients will have the ability to identify the hidden risks of CKD in order to reduce one of the largest hard cost components: employee health care costs.  It is essential to identify CKD in its early stage and through The TRUST’s simple health risk assessment kidney health can dramatically improve and costly complications can be avoided.

Our data indicates that approximately 10 to 12 percent of those screened will be referred to a doctor for follow-up.  Participants receive on-site, immediate results as well as personalized education pertaining to individual results and risk factors.

The TRUST’s proactive approach addresses the CKD epidemic by identifying and screening people who are at the highest risk of developing CKD including individuals with diabetes, heart disease, high blood pressure, or high cholesterol and cultural groups such as African American, Hispanic, Pacific Islander, and Asian.

More than 31 million Americans have chronic kidney disease (CKD), but only 10% of them know it.  By hosting rapid CKD screening sessions for employees you enable them to identify the hidden risks of CKD while they can still take action to prevent kidney failure.  Take a big step to a healthier more knowledgeable workforce, while reducing your organization’s overall health-related costs.

CKD:

  • Your employees:  1 out of 10 employees has it
  • Of those employees:  9 out of 10 don’t know it
